For the Trading Cards project in my Digital Media II class, I chose to base the cards around the Alternative Metal band cKy.  I started by finding concert photos of the band to create the realistic action feel I was going for.  I created gradient boxes to put the headings inside, and made my own logo for the card company.  I found tons of information about the band (and learned a lot of new things as well) to beef up the content for the cards.  I used the same filters in the background for each card to create harmony among them.  One of the difficulties I faced was the lack of concert photos on the internet, which led me to change some of my filtering choices (namely, blurring the image to hid the pixelated quality of the images).  Another things was that, at first I thought I had to make 4 cards to fit the requirements, but after I realized, I scrambled to find another member, which was when I found Vernon Zaborowski.  Apparently, he only played with the band in the touring gap between their first and second albums, and there was only one good picture I could find of him.  Regardless, I made do with what I had, and I feel like I did a really good job on these in the end.
